Goodbye Dani!

We all said a sad farewell to Dani Owen last week as she left her position as Pre-School Assistant for pastures new. Dani has been a valued member of the Pre-School team for a number of years and will be greatly missed by staff and children alike.

Rolleston Pre-School would like to wish Dani every success in her new career. Please come and visit us soon!

Richard Greenwood Family Photography

The Richard Greenwood ‘Family Day’ sessions will be held on 15th November at the Pre-School, 9am-1pm. This is open to anyone who would like a family or individual portrait.

Sittings must be booked in advance through Pre-School, and are very popular, so please book now to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Card Project

Rolleston Pre-School are pleased to confirm that we will be participating in the ‘Christmas Card Art Project’ through Fat-Chilli Cards & Gifts. This project is designed to encourage creativity in our children and to help them develop their design skills, whilst also raising valuable funds for our charitable organisation. Details about the scheme can be found at www.fat-chilli.com.

During your child’s forthcoming Pre-School, Toddlers or Inbetweenies session, they will create a lovely artwork design for a Christmas Card. With your consent, we will send this off to Fat-Chilli Cards & Gifts and they will use it to create a professional greetings card that is unique to your child. Fat-Chilli will return a free complementary proof card of your child’s artwork design that you may keep. There is no obligation for you to buy.

Please note, there is also the option for us to include your child’s name and photograph on the back of the card which adds to the unique personal quality of the cards. Letters requesting your consent for this have been sent out during Pre-School, Toddlers and Inbetweenies sessions. Kindly return these to Pre-School if you would like a photo to be included on your child’s artwork.

Auction Tickets

Rolleston Pre-School is pleased to announce that tickets for the 2008 Auction of Promises are on sale now. Get your tickets from Pre-School or any Committee member.

Pledges and donations are updated regularly on our website, so check out the link above to see what lots are going to be available on the night.

This event is always very popular so get yours before they are going, going, gone!

Greenwood Photography

The Greenwood Children’s Photography session is to be held on Thursday 25th September at the Rolleston Methodist Chapel.

Parents wishing to have photos taken of their children are invited to come along from 11.30-1pm. Please note that children already attending the Inbetweenies or Pre-School morning session held during this time will be invited to attend earlier, during their session.

Louise Phillips Marathon Fundraiser

Rolleston Pre-School would like to thank Louise Phillips, who generously donated all sponsorship raised after her gruelling half marathon on 11th May 2008, to the Pre-School.

Louise raised a total of £352.30. Many thanks, and a huge well done to Louise, and all her sponsers.

Wow – the summer holidays really flew by! We hope you had a great summer and managed to enjoy the little bit of sun we got.
